Fortuna’s First Fridays, rebooted in 2022 by a committee of the Downtown Businesses known and loved on Main Street, worked to revive the beloved event stemming from the initial goal of bringing people to the shops in Downtown Fortuna while showcasing local artisans.

With the reboot, officially launching in June of 2022, the new Fortuna’s First Fridays bring on a local non-profit organization as the guest of the month to raise money and bring awareness to their actions in our community. June featuring the Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department as well as over 20 different local artists, musicians, and other non-profit charity organizations on Main Street and hosted in other shopfronts.

The series of 2022 First Fridays comes to an end on September 2nd, featuring the Fortuna Police Department’s K-9’s Blitz & Cain. The event is bringing on many more artists, The Axe Box, as well as a performance from the Scotia Band and many local organizations to make sure this year’s finale goes off with a bang.
